Exciting Times

So now we are coming out of lockdown. The world is beginning to open up again. I have quite a few paintings stacking up so what to do now. I began to frame a few of them to see how they looked. It is amazing how different a drawing or painting will look once it is framed. I remember when I had some of my drawings framed for my first exhibition that I was blown away by the change. Anyway, I digress. What to do with all these wonderful paintings. Well, they need to be seen by people. I have shown some on Instagram and Facebook and got quite a good response but more people need to see them and have the opportunity to purchase them.

I contacted a gallery in Chichester, West Sussex - The Oxmarket Gallery. I just wanted to see if they had any space this year that I could potentially hire and to my surprise they came back with a schedule saying they would love to exhibit my work. I was so excited that I phoned Stuart immediately to book the two weeks available at the end of October. Chichester is a very special place for me, as I grew up there. I still visit often as I have friends and family there.

So now, I am busy selecting and framing the artwork that I wish to exhibit. Creating titles and pricing is a nightmare but essential part of the process.
