Getting Ready

Since I decided, and was accepted, to hold an exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery I have been busy getting everything ready. Selecting which paintings to take, creating titles and pricing the them (I don’t like that bit), getting them all framed in one way or another but I have to say it is coming together quite nicely. Framing really does finish off a piece of work and it is worth doing. I have done most of it myself with ready made framing but there are a select few that I have left to my brother, Kevin who is a professional picture framer (Abbey Frames in London). He always does an amazing job. I have got my posters ready and flyers which are being distributed around the Chichester area by my sister, Deborah.. I have sent my publicity piece with photo to the Chichester Observer. I had some profile photographs taken by a very nice young man, James Horrell (Au Fait Photography). He really has taken some nice shots. Most of the paintings are hanging on my studio walls and they are looking quite impressive. Soon it will all have to packed up and we will be off to the Sussex Coast. See you there, I hope.
